On October 30, 2025, C4 joined the Centre for Newcomers and the Alberta International Medical Graduate Association (AIMGA) to present a health navigation workshop for newcomers. Through information sharing, discussion, and resource guidance, participants gained a better understanding of Alberta’s healthcare system and the services available to support their health. The workshop is part of a broader effort to reduce barriers to care and promote equitable access to health information within newcomer communities.
This workshop reflects C4’s focus on understanding and addressing barriers to healthcare access for diverse populations as identified through research with newcomer groups. By partnering with newcomer-serving organizations, C4 supports community health literacy while building relationships that help ensure research and engagement activities are grounded in the experiences and priorities of the communities we serve.
